THE PRODUCER : Marco Carpineti

The Apolide Marco Carpineti is a wine produced with Nero Buono grapes from Cori. The Carpineti family biologically cultivates these lands in south of Rome, dedicating themselves exclusively to native varieties that greatly enhance these wines. Apolide vinification begins with a maceration of about two weeks at a controlled temperature. The must then passes to age in barriques for 24 months. A wine with a dry taste and a nice bitter finish.

Harvest time: Between the end of September and the beginning of October.

Vinification: Maceration for about 15 days at a controlled temperature.

Aging: 24 months in barriques.

Nose: Complex scent, spicy and ethereal.

Taste: This Marco Carpineti Apolide has a dry taste and a large body with a bitterly finish.

Serving temperature: 16-18 °C.

“But I am surprised by the Lazio Nero Buono “Apolide” 2012 which has the scent of strawberry jam: warm spicy with a compelling tannins in a generous sip: pure elegance.” Paolo Massobrio, from La Stampa, June ’18.
