Cabernet Sauvignon

Born in France this vine rapidly spread across Europe and the new World and nowadays is one of the world’s most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. The plant loves lean and dry soils. The berries have a dark color, a very thick skin and sweet, fleshy pulp. In Italy the most valuable Cabernet can be found in Trentino South-Tyrol, in Friuli Venezia-Giulia, in certain small productions of Tuscany and even in Veneto.
