Montepulciano

Montepulciano is a red autochthonous variety from central Italy where almost 40,000 hectares are cultivated, especially in Abruzzo and Marche, where it is used to produce the excellent DOC wines known and famous worldwide. The most suitable soil is of medium texture with deep fertilization. The vine requires good exposure to the sun, which can dry the moisture and maintain a rather dry environment, offering good resistance to frost.
