Sauvignon Blanc

The grape variety Sauvignon together with the Chardonnay is the variety most widespread and famous white grape in the world, and from it derives some of the best known and refined white wine. The Sauvignon has French origin, and to be precise its cradle is the Bordeaux region. In Italy the best Sauvignon are produced in Friuli and Trentino South-Tyrol, almost all aged in steel. This grape variety has as a distinctive mark in the intense aroma, “green” and a certain spicy character. Typical properties are the gooseberry or fresh grass flavors.
